Itsukushima Shrine, located in the center of Miyajima, is a famous shrine that is registered as a World Heritage Site. In particular, the sight of the large torii gate floating in the sea is breathtaking. At high tide, it appears as if it is floating in the sea.
To get to Miyajima, take the JR West Sanyo Main Line from Hiroshima Station to Miyajimaguchi Station, then take a ferry to Miyajima.
